Cancellation policies
Clear information about cancellations and refunds on Proavela.
Every boat on Proavela has a cancellation policy set by the owner. Before booking, you can see which policy applies to each listing. Here we explain the three available types.
Policy types
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start. 100% refund of the rental amount (excl. service fee).
Less than 24 hours: no refund.
Cancellation up to 5 days before: 80% refund of the rental amount (excl. service fee).
Less than 5 days: no refund.
Cancellation up to 7 days before: 50% refund of the rental amount (excl. service fee).
Less than 7 days: no refund.
Once the rental has started
A booking cannot be cancelled once the rental start date has passed. This policy follows the nautical industry standard to protect both hosts and guests.
If the host cancels
If the host cancels a confirmed booking, the guest always receives a 100% refund of the rental amount (excl. service fee), regardless of the cancellation policy.
How to cancel a booking
Go to My bookings
Access the "My bookings" section from the user menu.
Select the booking
Open the details of the booking you want to cancel.
Confirm the cancellation
Click "Cancel booking". You'll see the refund amount before confirming.
About refunds
Refunds are processed to the same original payment method (credit card).
Processing time is 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
The service fee (12%) is non-refundable. Refunds apply to the rental amount only.
